This integration ensures a holistic view of deal performance, enabling informed decision-making and strategic optimization.

One example of Kernel’s Integration is with fundae’s Revenue Intelligence Platform for Duplicate Discount, Dochas for Pre and Post Deal Analytics simulation of various deal scenarios and Ikigai’s Artificial Intelligence Platform.

Open Pharma Master Data (MD)
Open Pharma MD provides full visibility into Customers, Membership, Products, Price, and Contracts, as required by SC, GP, and GTN. Customers, Products and Price can be received from SAP and augmented or maintained via the Open Pharma UI. Open Pharma MD supports multiple types of Contracts and Programs including dynamic discounting, tiers, and price protection to name a few.
Open Pharma Sales & Concessions (SC) - Direct Sales
Open Pharma SC Direct Sales (read-only) includes the functionality required to view Invoice Headers and Invoice Lines as they are processed in SAP.
Open Pharma Sales & Concessions (SC) – Chargebacks
Open Pharma SC handles the complete Chargeback lifecycle. It reads the EDI 844 X12 (Chargeback) directly from a Landing Zone, creates Distributor Claims, validates these Distributor Claims, generates Payments, sends Payments to SAP, receives Payment confirmation from SAP, and generates EDI 849 X12 (Response to Account Adjustment) to a Landing Zone (e.g., OpenText).
Open Pharma Sales & Concessions (SC) – Distributor and Institutional Incentives
Open Pharma SC includes the functionality for managing Incentive Rebates. It utilizes Customer, Product, and Contract information from Open Pharma MD to generate various types of Incentive Claims. These claims encompass Base, Performance, Price Protection, or Administration Fee Rebates paid on Direct or Indirect Sales as stipulated by the Open Pharma MD Contracts. Once the Payments are finalized, they are routed for approval and sent to SAP for processing.
Open Pharma Sales & Concessions (SC) - Managed Care
Open Pharma SC manages the entire lifecycle of Utilization-based Claims, including those received from Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs). Open Pharma SC reads NCPDP Utilization files, processes and validates these files, sends the Utilization file packages to specialized third-party validators (e.g., BRG, Kalderos, etc.), collects the validation results, creates one or more Managed Care Claims based on the Contract Programs, generates Payments, routes Payments for approval, sends Payments to SAP, receives Payment confirmation from SAP, and generates the Utilization Reconciliation Report, which includes the original data, validation results, and Payment Information.
Open Pharma Sales & Concessions (SC) - Medicaid
Open Pharma SC manages the entire lifecycle of Medicaid Claims. It reads detailed Medicaid Utilization files, creates Utilization and Utilization Lines, validates the Utilization, adds the Utilization to Medicaid Claims, generates Payments, routes Payments for approval, sends Payments to SAP, receives Payment confirmation from SAP, and generates ROSI and PQAS.
Open Pharma GP
Open Pharma GP provides all capabilities required to calculate AMPs, BPs, PHS, NFAMPs, FCPs, Tricare, URAs (Medicaid/Medicare). Discount Reallocation (i.e. unbundling) is built-in and can run standalone or together with a price calculation. Estimation, as required for BP, is also built-in based on information provided by Open Pharma MD (i.e. Contracts). In addition, Open Pharma GP enables an organization to establish a self-auditing function capable of answering any price certification and audit question throughout the monthly certification cycle. What-if calculations are also integral to Open Pharma GP and enables users to quickly understand the financial impact on Medicaid and PHS Liability of an ever-changing regulatory environment. Finally, GP Number Matching for testing is also OOB functionality.
Open Pharma GTN
The main goal of KERNEL GTN is to streamline and de-risk the reserve management processes. KERNEL GTN automates the generation of accruals, ingestion of payments, release of reserves, reconciliation with GL and close of months/quarters. KERNEL GTN is flexible to accommodate tracking of reserves at different levels through customer defined hierarchies (e.g. product, channels) and flexible to accommodate visualizing data through different perspectives. KERNEL GTN allows business activities to shift from manual efforts and reactivity to quality analysis and proactivity
